RESULTS is a movement of passionate, committed everyday people. Together, we use our voices to influence political decisions that will bring an end to global poverty.
The past 25 years have seen tremendous improvements in global poverty. Preventable child deaths have been cut in half and millions of kids are in school for the first time. There is still work to do. This year, 6.3 million kids will die from preventable causes before they reach their fifth birthday and 58 million children will miss out on their chance to go to school.
For the first time in history, we have the resources that are necessary to end poverty and make sure all kids can grow up healthy and strong, go to school, and reach their full potential. The latest evidence shows that we can end preventable maternal and child deaths within our generation. Our vision for a better world is not only possible, but it’s probable and achievable.
You can see more on our vision here. http://www.results.org/issues/global_poverty_campaigns/
As a RESULTS volunteer, you can help us reach this vision through powerful and passionate advocacy. RESULTS volunteers receive training, support, and inspiration to become skilled advocates. In time, volunteers learn to effectively advise policy makers, guiding them towards decisions that will improve access to education, health, and economic opportunity.
Volunteers help build a powerful movement for the end of poverty by meeting face to face with members of Congress, engaging with the media, and communicating about global poverty and hunger issues in their community. We invite you to be part of this movement by becoming a powerful voice in your community
