ORGANIZATION: Cincinnati Arts Association - Aronoff Center & Music Hall

We are seeking 2 volunteers to assist in maintaining current poster displays in the kiosks surrounding the Aronoff Center. Must have an eye for displaying poster art and the ability to do so while standing on a ladder.

The time commitment is once a month, and a request for availability is made a week out. Communication comes directly from the Marketing Department staff to set that schedule.

Position Goal:

To assist the Cincinnati Arts Association Marketing Department with the creative distribution of posters in the kiosks surrounding the Aronoff Center; to maintain current information within the kiosks.

General Position Responsibilities:

  1. Take down outdated posters
  2. Hang new posters
  3. Clean kiosk glass when need be

Position Qualifications:

  1. Access to meet physical demands of position
  2. Available at least once a month, during weekday
  3. Able to log own hours in MyVolunteerpage.com, including travel time
  4. Able to follow directions
  5. Able to work independently and be a self-starter
  6. Able to complete work in a timely fashion & communicate any problems clearly
  7. Must be at least 18 years of age
  8. Able to speak and understand English
  9. Able to accept constructive criticism
  10. Able to work a broad range of people

Physical Demands:

High: Ability to carry a ladder

Ability to carry heavy materials

Ability to stand and work on a ladder

Time Commitment: 2 hours per month, during weekday

Supervised by: Marketing Manager, Director of Marketing & PR, Volunteer Manager

Parking at LAZ Garage on 7th St. for free when working this shift.

Description

The Cincinnati Arts Association (CAA) is the non-profit umbrella organization managing the Aronoff Center and Music Hall.

The Aronoff Center for the Arts houses three independent performing arts spaces, which include the Procter & Gamble Hall (2719 seat venue), the Jarson-Kaplan Theater (437 seat venue) and the Fifth Third Bank Theater (seating up to 150). The 3,500 square foot Weston Art Gallery is also located within the Aronoff Center, as well as a full service box office, rehearsal hall, meeting and reception rooms and expansive lobbies.

Music Hall is home to six individual spaces that can be used for multipurpose events, Spring Auditorium (2,500 seating venue), Edyth B. Lindner Grand Foyer, Music Hall Ballroom, Corbett Tower, Harry T. Wilks Studio, Taft Suite and P&G Founders Room.

All spaces within the Aronoff Center and Music Hall arnd Taft Suite e available for rent for corporate business and social functions.
