Animals offer companionship and connection in a way that humans do not. If you have ever been present when an animal visits a nursing home or hospital, you will see many people (staff, patients, and visitors) are happy to see the dog and really enjoy your visit.
Hospice of Holland is in need of volunteers with dogs available for pet visits who are willing to see patients in the Holland, Saugatuck, and/or South Haven areas. You decide how much time to commit as well as location.
Our pets are required to pass behavioral testing, but not necessarily be trained as a "Therapy Animal". Please contact us today if you would like to know more about this program and the requirements for volunteering with your pet.
