We are looking for Hunger Heroes to help in our Community Kitchen for our Kid’s Café Program!
Expectations:
- Assist Kitchen team with preparing meals for Kids Café Hot Meal Sites
- Help with food prep in large quantities
- Able to read and understand written and verbal instructions
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Follow instructions for preparing food
- Be able to stand for prolonged periods, bending twisting, lifting.
- Assist in approved equipment (weighing items, loading commercial dishwasher)

Description
Sadly, many of our neighbors don’t need to imagine. 1 in 7 Coloradans worry where their next me al will come from. These are people you meet every day- those with low wage jobs, children, seniors on fixed incomes, those with health issues. Surprisingly, the homeless represent only 14% of our food recipients. Nearly half of the food we distribute feeds children.
Today, FBR has extended its reach across Northern Colorado, providing food and supplies to more than 1400 hunger-relief programs. Since 1978, FBR has provided nearly 519 million pounds of food to our member agencies, which translates to 432 million meals for people in need. Last year, we distributed 46.5 million pounds of food, enough to provide more than 106,000 meals each day to children, seniors and families in need. FBR is a member of Feeding America.
