We always need lesson program volunteers. The minimum age for a sidewalker is 15 and a leader is 16. We ask that you have horse experiance if you are interested in leading. We require all of our volunteers to attend an orientation before volunteering and we have one each month.

New Hope Equine Assisted Therapy was established to provide therapeutic horseback riding services that can enhance the rider’s quality of life, both physically and mentally. New Hope is committed to serving the needs of persons with a wide variety of disabilities.
Description
Therapeutic horseback riding is the use of horses and equine-assisted activities in order to achieve goals that enhance physical, emotional, social, cognitive, behavioral and educational skills for people who have disabilities. It not only focuses on the therapeutic riding skills but also the development of a relationship between horse and rider. It uses a team approach in order to provide treatment for the individual with the guidance of riding instructor.
