Jumpstart is looking for a photographer to capture moments at our annual Scribbles to Novels fundraising gala.
Jumpstart’s Scribbles to Novels is an annual gala fundraiser that raises both awareness of Jumpstart’s mission and critically-needed funds to support our work. One of the highlights of Scribbles is the opportunity to speak with and listen to an acclaimed author who inspires and reminds us of the power of the written word.
This year’s event is Thursday evening, April 27th, 2017 and will feature Frances Dinkelspiel author of Tangled Vines: Greed, Murder, Obsession, and an Arsonist in the Vineyards of California.
We are looking for a skilled photographer willing to volunteer for the event and provide us with photographs of our keynote speaker, student speech and hightlighs of our event. These photographs will be used on our facebook page, twitter, website and promotional communications throughtout the year. Photographer will be given credit and acknowledgement on our website, future publications and social media.

Jumpstart is a national early education organization working toward the day every child in America enters school prepared to succeed.
Description
Jumpstart aims to close the gap in educational achievement between children from low-income communities and their wealthier peers, before that gap appears. In pursuit of this goal, Jumpstart recruits and trains college students, called Corps members, to help preschool-aged children in low-income neighborhoods develop the language, literacy, and social skills they need to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. Jumpstart inspires children to learn, young adults to teach and lead, families to become more involved in their children’s education, and communities to progress together.
