ORGANIZATION: ProMedica Heartland Hospice

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Share your gifts and the lives of others with ProMedica Heartland Hospice patients. The Vigil Volunteer is called to provide companionship and presence to patients and families during the patient's final hours of life. Vigil Volunteers are ready to offer support when families and friends are unavailable, or need a break from the bedside of their loved one during that journey toward death.

Vigil Volunteers, in concert with the hospice team of doctors, nurses, hospice aids, social workers and spiritual care coordinators, can help provide the patient with the most valuable gift - a loving presence.

ProMedica Heartland Hospice allows you the flexibility to volunteer at facilities or patients' homes, throughout the Cleveland/Akron area.

Contact Heartland's Volunteer Coordinator: 216-520-0765 to request more information and to schedule an informational meeting and hospice training.
