Sustainable Surplus is a nonprofit that supports teachers and nonprofs by repurposing much-needed items like office supplies and furniture, computers and equipment to them.
We have opportunities for volunteers to help our staff pick-up and deliver donations. This involves some heavy lifting, but will have another person to help with such items. We use our truck which has a ramp and a lift gate.
Projects happen usually twice weekly during business hours.

About Sustainable Surplus Exchange
Location:
2647 Gateway Rd. #105-404, CARLSBAD, CA 92009, US
Mission Statement
Sustainable Surplus Exchange supports hundreds of educational, charitable and start-up organizations through the redistribution of donated surplus assets from commerce - everything from office supplies and furniture to computers and lab equipment. We practice, educate, and build awareness of sustainability, as well as reduce the carbon footprint of waste by diverting items from the landfill.
Description
The goal of the Sustainable Surplus Exchange is to help companies recycle and repurpose their surplus or idle assets back into the community of non-profit organizations including but not limited to schools, colleges and universities, as well as charitable organizations, through the donation channel. We have impacted over 400 local organizations and diverted 370,000 pounds from the landfill!
