Hospice is a wonderful way to build experience for your studies and resume. This is an exceptional opportunity for all students interested in Social Services and Healthcare. Volunteering for Hospice teaches you empathy, working with senior care a view of service orientation and ethical responsibility to yourself and others.
Hospice is a special kind of care designed to provide comfort as well as emotional support for patients and families of patients with terminal illness.
We focus on enhancing the quality life and human values that go beyond the physical needs of the patient. We ensure that patients spend their final days in dignity and comfort.
Volunteers are an integral part of the team approach we use to meet these needs. Share your time and skills by having a written correspondence, reading, playing music or simply providing companionship to our patients who need love, respect and compassion during this time of care.
Locations and scheduling are flexible. We work with all of our students to accommodate their academic and working schedule.
