Foster Parents provide a temporary happy and healthy home to pets rescued from Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control (MADACC). MPA Foster Parents love and care for their foster animals as they would members of their own family. Foster Parents must be fully committed to the well-being and needs of animals in their care until adoption. A Foster Parent's primary responsibility is to get pets ready to be adopted into their forever homes by meeting the physical, mental, and training needs of the living being in their care. Foster Parents (along with Adoption Counselor) will conduct meet n’ greets in the foster home after potential match is determined from received inquiries on the foster animal (once ready for adoption). Foster Parents must be able to transport their foster animal to vet appointments, spay/neuter appointment, and training (if applicable). MPA Foster Parents are supported by MPA volunteers and will be given the tools necessary to succeed.
