Foster Parents provide a temporary happy and healthy home to pets rescued from Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control (MADACC). Foster Parents must be fully committed to the well-being and needs of animals in their care until adoption. A Foster Parent's primary responsibility is to get pets ready to be adopted into their forever homes by meeting the physical, mental, and training needs of the living being in their care. Foster Parents and their animals must also be available to show to the public at meet n' greets and/or events. Transport to vet appointments, spay/neuter appointments, and training (if applicable) required. MPA Foster Parents are supported by MPA volunteers and will be given the tools necessary to succeed.
Training: Application and background check required.
Time Commitment: Complete. Foster Parents must be fully committed and dedicated to animals in their care until adoption.
Travel: Moderate. Required to transport foster pets in your care to veterinary appointments, adoption events, and meet n' greets.
