Middle School students focusing on written portion of Mathcounts competition

This event was originally scheduled for Feb 9, 2017 at Lehman College and has been rescheduled for March 1, 2017 at Manhattan College.

P/R person to help publicize a Math competition for Bronx Middle School students.

This is an annual competition called "Mathcounts in the Bronx" sponsored by the Bronx Chapter of the National Society of Professional Engineers and is the part of the National Mathcounts competition similar to the National Spelling Bee.

The competition will be held at Manhattan College and all details will be provided to the volunteer filling this opportunity.

This opportunity requires the following:

1. Prepare and distribute press release announcing the event.

2. Create and maintain a social media presence for the event

3. Get local/community based media coverage of event.

4. Attend the event.

5. Prepare and distribute press release on results of competition.

Except for attending the event on March 1 at Manhattan College, the other activities can be done at at time and place of volunteer's convenience.
