Our homebound seniors have a special place in our hearts. We can ensure the same will be true for you as a volunteer driver and/or server with Meals on Wheels!
A simple smile or greeting from a Meals on Wheels client will make your day, and arguably, your week! As a volunteer, you can either drive or serve lunch and dinner meals and share in a few minutes of conversation with the clients on a specific route who are either homebound, elderly or disabled.
The opportunity takes just 60 minutes and you can choose to help us one time, once a week, once or twice a month, or however many times you would like during the weekday lunch hour! We have 25 convenient locations in Erie County where volunteers go to pick up the materials and deliver meals within the surrounding neighborhoods.

Meals on Wheels For WNY is an agency that works to enrich lives and promotes independent healthy living by offering nutricious food and a friendly visit.
Each year, more than 900,000 nutritious meals are served in the community by the lifeblood of our agency-our volunteers! Nearly 3,600 clients days are positively impacted by the few minutes of friendly conversation they spend with our dedicated team of volunteers. By devoting just one lunch hour per week, you can make the life of a homebound person a little brighter and put our mission into practice.
Who Can Volunteer?
Anyone! As part of a volunteer team, a driver and a server deliver meals together. We have teachers, retirees, homemakers, students and even business owners who give of their time. All it takes is one hour per day, once a week or once a month to make a difference.
