The Lint Center for National Security Studies is seeking a person with strong leadership skills who desires an opportunity to use those skills for the benefit of a non-profit. The position of Project Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation, management, and evaluation of organizational projects. This position will work closely with the board of directors and senior management to ensure that project deliverables are met in a timely manner. All volunteers work from home on tasks via the computer. Frequent availability and communication over email is required.
This position could be an excellent resume bullet for a person looking to get back in to the for profit labor market. It's an ideal position for anyone with project management experience or for those seeking PMP certification. The Lint Center has many managers with 20-30 years of government management experience. The Project Coordinator will also have access to many of the mentors who are long time national security professionals in the intelligence, counterintelligence, and national security arena.
Hours spent on this project may be added toward a nomination for the Presidential Service Award which Lint Center is authorized to award.
As a minority and veteran owned and managed non-profit, backed by the dedication of an all-volunteer force with not a single paid staff member, the Lint Center could certainly use your assistance, if you are up for a worthwhile challenge.
The emphasis of the effort is to connect and retain a base of virtual volunteer supporters to facilitate and improve the work of the Lint Center.
In an effort to prevent a conflict of interest, individuals who volunteer for the Lint Center will automatically be disapproved for any organization scholarships.
