We are looking for volunteer coaches to help inspire the youths of Columbus. Last year over 500 girls and boys participated in Girls on the Run, Heart & Sole, or Trailblazer programs. Both programs are offered to almost all schools in the BCSC school district and to some private schools. The spring season usually runs from March to May or June, fall season is from September to October, with both ending with a celebratory 5k at the end of the season. You don't need to be a runner or have previous coaching experience, just the passion to change the lives of young girls and boys. Go to or for locations and practice times for both programs.
Girls on the Run is a program that gives the girls the opportunity to build confidence and healthy habits. You will help 3rd - 6th grade girls (must be at 8 yrs. old upon registration), recognize their inner strength, make great friendships, celebrate all that makes them unique, and so much more! Each week, you will also guide the girls in a training and activities that will build endurance for a 5k running event. Trailblazers is a program that focuses on developing cognitive, physical, and social skills while promoting a healthy lifestyle through running. The boys will prepare for a 5k while learning the importance of eating healthy and training appropriately for their age level. .

If you would like to volunteer or know someone that might be interested in coaching, please contact us as soon as possible. Without our volunteers, we would not be able to do what we do to serve the youth of Columbus.
