Esperanza is a public interest legal organization dedicated to serving vulnerable immigrants facing removal from the US. We provide pro bono and low cost direct legal representation, and community education.

Esperanza's Community Education Program for Released Youth will be hosting a Welcome Day Fair for Unaccompanied Refugee Children on September 25th. They are in great need of help as the prepare for this amazing event. The work can be done remotely, however it is preferred if you can help on the day of the event in person as well. Please see below for more details:

Hours a week: 8

Time frame: 8/23-10/15/2021

Requirement: Spanish Speaker, very motivated person and detail oriented

Tasks include helping register minors for the event, and doing outreach to partner organizations.

Description

Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc., serves espercially vulnerale immigrants fighting against removal from the United States. Esperanza mostly provides legal services to children who are fighting against removal, however Esperanza also has clients in federal immigration detention centers. Esperanza provides direct representation, pro bono placement and pro se legal education.
