Do you love all things bridal? Would you enjoy helping Beautiful Brides say "YES!" to a dress?

If you are someone who would enjoy assisting brides in preparation for their "big day," we invite you to join our volunteer leadership team and help make a difference.

We help Beautiful Brides achieve Affordable Elegance in the Washington Metropolitan Area. We are growing by leaps and bounds, and we want a friendly, organized person to execute our plan for managing a bridal shop well.

We start with a collection of over 600 gorgeous wedding gowns for only $195-$250 each. Yet we are far more than just a bridal shop. We are Budget. Bride. Central. We have a seamstress who only charges our brides $165 no matter what is needed, we are building more vendor partners who donate back to us, we have a growing group of attendees at our DIY Budget Bride workshops, a magazine geared towards practical advice for brides on a tight budget, low budget formula books, and vendors who will take budgets of $10,000 or less seriously.

Help Brides Say, "Yes!" You and your team of volunteers will help engaged brides go through our inventory and find THE dress to say, "Yes."

Scheduling: Make sure there's a regular volunteer to keep the shop open during our shop hours: currently Tues 4-8pm, Wed 5-9pm, Thurs 4-8pm, and Sat 10-4pm. You only have to be there 4-6 hours per week, depends on your availability.

Training: Based on training videos we've already created, you and other volunteers will help create a consistent experience for the Brides who walk into our shop. You just need to make sure new volunteers receive the proper training and fill out our volunteer forms.

Accountability You will be responsible for any cash payments (most transactions are credit) and and reporting these on our point-of-sale software. The org President is present each week to check in about shop happenings and what can help us serve our Beautiful Brides more. We will have a ceremony of Appointment for our Bridal Shop Manager at our December Fundraising Dinner. Appointment of Shop Manager lasts for 6 months, and is renewable each 6-month increment.

Inventory: What one of our neighbors entitles us - "a fairy-tale princess wonderland" - you will manage our amazing 600+ gown collection inventory (already well-organized)

Fun-ness Planning: Sometimes, we just gotta chill together. We encourage all our volunteers to propose events they'd like to do as a group. We aim for once a quarter.

We provide a service unlike any bridal shop and unlike any bridal nonprofit. We have tons of resources that help brides meet or beat the $10,000 budget without anyone guessing they spent less than $20K. We do this all with one goal in mind - be THE bridal resource for low budget weddings. Budget. Bride. Central.

What do we need from you as a volunteer???

All we need from you is your desire to assist others and a commitment of 4-6 hours per week of your time. We are glad to work with your schedule to ensure you are able to connect with Beautiful Brides and Awesome Volunteers.

Our Gown Shop sells wedding gowns new and used for $195 flat. We recommend a seamstress who only charges our brides $165 for most typical alterations. We have Meetup DIY workshops and books and vendors who take budgets of $10,000 or less seriously. Brides on a Dime Expo & Fashion Show brings brides on a budget of $10,000 or less to meet golden vendors with deals that will meet these budgets.

To all brides, we offer designer gowns donated from local bridal shops and individuals. Our entire inventory is for sale at $195/dress plus sales tax. Any bride is eligible to purchase one.
