Want to make a difference and support climate activism?

Sierra Club's Coal & Oil Free Washington Task Force and Cascadia Climate Action are seeking volunteers for a mix of outreach events and online support, including support for events to oppose proposed oil and coal export projects in the Pacific Northwest, and other climate events and actions aggregated on CascadiaClimateAction.org's calendar, as well as research, tabling and materials development.

The time required would run from 2 hours per week to 4-8 hours every two weeks. Project tasks can be combined for an internship opportunity or be structured for a volunteer with limited time who wants to contribute to the climate movement. More advanced work would entail researching, tracking and providing documentation on the varied fossil fuel projects being proposed around the Pacific Northwest for export terminals and rail transport.

Work can be carried out remotely or at the Seattle Sierra Club offices near Fremont, but ability to support and attend outreach events, such as tabling at street fairs and farmers' markets is a priority. Come to a monthly meeting of the Beyond Coal Taskforce, on the Third Thursday of each month at 6:00pm to learn more. Check calendar (http://CascadiaClimateAction.org) to confirm date and location.

Join the team and make a difference for the planet!
