Welcome to the Institute of Flight's 3D Makerspace, the first in Snohomish County!
The 3D Makerspaceis an amazing informal teaching space, part of our educational nonprofit mission. Staff and volunteers work together to provide:
-Open 3D printing workshops on Mondays 1:00-5:00
-Rotating topic maker workshops on Saturdays 11:30-2:30
-Support for special projects and summer camps
-Makerspace equipment and computer maintenance
We are seeking adult and high school volunteers with experience or enthusiasm to learn. Opportunities include assisting in delivering workshops, teaching gallery visitors about 3D printing, testing new lessons, operating the printers, and more. Experience with teaching, customer service, or maker technology are a plus.
Interested? Please consider applying...or referring a friend! We ask for a monthly or weekly commitment, lasting at least a year in total. After the first 20 hours, volunteers earn a membership with tons of cool benefits.
Interview, background check, and reference checks are required!

Description
The Institute of Flight is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit that serves as the operator of the Future of Flight Aviation center and Boeing Tour facility, which is owned by Snohomish County.
Our role is to strengthen and deepen the visitor experience and provide hands-on STEAM related educational programs to Snohomish County students. We are able to achieve this due to the generosity of our partners, sponsors, members and donors.
The Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour debuted in Fall 2005 as a unique aviation interpretive center and the home of the Boeing Tour, their Everett WA assembly plant.
The Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour offers a remarkable opportunity to see both commercial jet production today and the direction aviation is headed in the future. The Future of Flight Aviation Center Gallery features hands-on exhibits, videos, meeting and conference space and spectacular viewing of planes from that take-off and land at Paine Field on a daily basis.
