Activist arts organization: volunteer with Twitter expertise

Art Works for Change is a nonprofit organization that creates contemporary art exhibitions to address critical social and environmental issues. Our fine art exhibitions are hosted by museums all over the world and feature artists whose work promotes awareness, provokes dialogue and inspires action.

We are seeking to grow our online community through Twitter and to spark interest in our exhibitions and projects through an ongoing program of tweets and online events. In addition, we recently launched a new online exhibition platform to broaden the reach of our organization. Our current exhibition is focused on humanity’s ecological footprint and the consequences of overshooting the natural resources that Earth can supply and regenerate.

We are looking for a volunteer with Twitter expertise to help us promote the new online exhibition and build our online presence through a sustained program of social media activity. Your role would include the following:

• Attract visitor traffic to the online exhibitions and our other website content

• Build the social media presence of Art Works for Change on Twitter through a systematic program of tweets and events

• Assist with the launch of a viral social media campaign to create dialogue and spur action on critical environmental issues

• Leverage all distribution channels and content to maximize the impact of the exhibition, including distribution channels and content of our partner organizations (Global Footprint Network, World Wildlife Fund and Earth Day Network)
