Entertainment Committee Member:

Time Commitment: One 60 minute meeting per month (March-October), plus 1-5 hours of planning per month.

Positions Responsibilites: This position is a fun and exciting job. Entertainment committee members who work with the Chair to plan entetainment, activities and ceremonies that happen the day of the walk. This position is for someone who is creative, organized, and knows what it takes to have a good time!

  • Arrange for activities and entertainment throughout the event.

  • Promote activities and entertainment. Provides a schedule to team participants in advance of event to encourage participation.

  • Work closely with the Logistics and Operations Vice chair in planning and organizing activities and entertainment.

  • Work with the Logistics chair to coordinate the needs of the entertainment, performers, etc. that are scheduled.

  • Work with Society staff and Operations Vice chair to adhere to approved budget.

What is Making Strides Against Breast Cancer?

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks are the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting nearly 300 communities with a shared determination to finish the fight against breast cancer. Passionate walk participants raise critical funds that enable the American Cancer Society to fund groundbreaking breast cancer research; provide free, comprehensive information and support to those touched by breast cancer; and help people take steps to reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it is most treatable.
