The primary duties of the Men's Center Career Development Center Evening Supervisor are to assist students in reconnecting with family and friends via social media, help with job searches, monitor for appropriateness of content, etc. The time commitment for this volunteer opportunity is one to two evenings per week from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or 9am to 12pm on Saturdays for six months to a year or more.

An ideal candidate is someone who's been through some tough times, so they are compassionate, but with boundaries enough to be firm and taken seriously. Male, preferably. Minimum of 18 years of age.

Description

Gospel Rescue Mission operates a homeless shelter for men and a shelter for women and women with children. In addition to providing emergency needs to the homeless population, both shelters operate long term residential recovery and education programs. These programs include: drug and alcohol recovery and relapse prevention; academic education; computer literacy; counseling; job readiness; and life skills training. We also provide food boxes, clothing,and household items to needy Tucson residents.
