Do you enjoy books, easy and pleasant interactions with people, and spending time in a peaceful, historic setting? If so, becoming a Lakewold Librarian might just be your cup of tea! The O’Rourke Memorial Library is Lakewold’s lending library, housing over 1,000 volumes, with a vast collection of horticulture-related books, numerous reference materials and encyclopedias. As a Librarian, staff the library for Lakewold visitors and check materials out to members. Shifts run Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 11am-2pm. Our library is open April through September.

Orientation for new librarians is on Tuesday March 21st at 11am or Thursday March 30th at 1pm. Please RSVP using the link below.

Description

Located in Lakewood, WA, Lakewold is a 10-acre non-profit public garden and National Historic Site. Lakewold offers landscape architecture by Thomas Church, unique Garden Rooms, a large collection of rare and native plants, State Champion trees, over 900 rhododendrons, and 30 Japanese maples.

Lakewold's Georgian style mansion and historic architecture complete the gardens, where visitors can step back in time to an elegant past or enjoy a relaxing moment to contemplate the future.

An inspirational experience where generations of family can discover common ground through the beauty of the garden.
