CATR has an immediate internship opportunity. This intern will provide direct support to CATR's Philanthropy Director and play an important role in helping to plan and execute In The Company of Horses, CATR's major annual fundraising event. The Fundraising & Marketing Intern will also provide support for social media outreach related to CATR's participation in Lowcountry Giving Day and with general marketing efforts for CATR.

This internship is an opportunity to develop skills related to mailings/publications, website design, database management, event planning and use of specific software related to non-profit management (Constant Contact and Greater Giving). The Fundraising & Marketing Intern also has the option to work directly with students and horses in our therapeutic riding program as part of this internship.


Interns will have the opportunity to work directly with horses and individuals with disabilities in our therapeutic riding program in addition to gaining exposure to non-profit management, fundraising, event planning, and volunteer management. Interns will

Charleston Area Therapeutic Riding (CATR) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies. CATR gives children and adults with disabilities the freedom of movement and joy of accomplishment that many of us take for granted. Certified professional staff, nationally accredited programs, and dedicated volunteers help students improve and build on their abilities with the most patient teacher of all, the horse.
