Have a couple of hours? Great way to give back to your community. INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS NEEDED.

Our HILLCREST THRIFT SHOPS are Not-for-Profit, Volunteer Driven and provide a way for you to give back to your community! Got some extra Time? We've got the place! Volunteer as little or as much as you like!

Funds from our thrift operations support our LOCAL- Platte County homeless outreach. We provide over 35 housing apartments with dorms for programs in Platte County for homeless families/individuals and young adults (who are willing to work full time), getting them back to self-sustaining.

Retirees/students/middle aged...are all welcome and encouraged to volunteer. Our thrift shops provide a great volunteer community to be a part of. Individuals, families, small groups, corporation-serve-days, students (ages 12+) and others, all come together to make this work.

Our Thrift shops provide volunteer opps for specific ongoing projects with flexible dates and times for volunteers. Snacks and drinks are on us. Cashiering, working the donation dock, processing donations, sorting clothing and merchandising are just a few ways you can help.

Got required Service Hours? A great place to get COMMUNITY SERVICE hours knocked out!

Covid-guidelines observed!

Mission Statement

We provide a local Housing Ministry (35 apartment complexes) to Working Families Temporarily Homeless. We transition families from homelessness back to self-sufficiency. We also offer services for poverty-related issues facing families today.

Some of the furniture donations we receive help us furnish the apartments used for the families we help and also can go towards helping our graduates furnish their next housing space.

We are not-for-profit with two "up-scale" Thrift Shops offering departments including clothing, toys, home & garden, sports, books, linens, large appliances, boutique, furniture, antiques, crafts, seasonal and coffee shop that you can help us with.

All profits from our re-purpose thrift operations support our local Housing Ministry to Working Families Temporarily Homeless...with the goal to transition families from homelessness back to self-sufficiency.
