We need your help with Little Hats, Big Hearts! Do you knit or crochet?

LHBH is the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's campaign, to collect knitted or crocheted red baby hats. The hats will be distributed to babies born in hospitals across the country during February, which is Heart Month.

Volunteers across the country are needed to create the hats. The program raises awareness of heart disease, the No. 1 killer of Americans, and congenital heart defects, the most common type of birth defect.

Yarn specifics:
-Red
-Cotton or Acrylic
-Medium to heavy weight
-Machine washable and dryable

Patterns:
We recommend simple hat patterns. While we love bows and buttons, they can come off and can be dangerous for little ones.

Other ways to help:
-Washing
-Packaging

Visit: www.heart.org/littlehatsbighearts for more info and patterns

Hats may be delivered or shipped to our office located at 2007 O Street in Sacramento, by December 23rd to be included for February distribution.

Please contact the American Heart Association at 916-446-6505 or email ashley.goforth@heart.org if you are interested in helping or have any questions!

Thank you!
