Work directly with Young Adults with Special Health Care Needs in a Group Home Setting. Lead activities such as Circle Time, Reading, Art, Music & Cooking. Volunteers must Undergo a Level 2 Background & Medical Screening at their own expense. Some experience working with this population is desirable. Ideal for students and/or retired educators. Volunteers needed Monday - Friday between the hours of 10:30 & 4:00 pm

Description
Since 1971, Broward Children's Center has provided quality programs to infants, children, and young adults with special health care needs. The Center provides a wide range of direct care, support, and quality of life advocacy services for these children and their families. Our services include: Preschools for typically developing and special needs children, Education for children who are medically complex, Rehabilitation, Medical Transportation; Licensed home health care; In-home and facility based respite care; Before & After School Programs; Physical, occupational, and speech and language therapy; Counseling, Pediatric Extended care, Group Homes, and Diaphragmatic Pacing System Implementation and Rehabilitation
