The ESOL Tutor position is ideal for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience within a community-based nonprofit working with adults reengaging in education. The position involves working together with the Education Matters team to tutor and support students in our ESOL program. Tutor will assist in both a classroom and a one-on-one setting in the ESOL program. Tutors primary responsibility will be to engage in conversational English with students, as well as assist in improving reading and writing skills at a variety of levels. We are especially in need of individuals with experience in early childhood education/basic literacy, as we have a growing population of students with no native-language literacty skills. The ESOL program at Education Matters is truly unique and an exciting place that welcomes new students almost everyday! We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate individuals interested being a part of an international community!
