Be a Pet Therapy Volunteer to a Hospice Patient
Therapy dogs provide unconditional love and companionship to help brighten a Hospice patient's day
Animals help our patients fight the feeling of being alone
Pets provide an unconditional love
The rhythm of petting them helps induce calming effects
Have an hour a week? We invite you to consider becoming a Hospice Pet volunteer. Volunteers help Hospice provide compassionate, quality visits to those living with a life limiting illness,and to their families and caregivers.
All Pets have to be registered Pet therapy trained and have all shots up to date

Description
Hospice is a special kind of care designed to provide comfort care as well as emotional support for patients and families of patients with terminal illness. We focus on enhancing the quality life and focuses on human values that go beyond the physical needs of the patient. We ensure that patients spend their final days in dignity and comfort. Volunteers are an integral part of the team approach we use to meet these needs.
