ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - Texas Gulf Coast Region

PLACEMENT PURPOSE
The Disaster Reserve Corps will represent a growing and capable resource that can meet the workload surge following a disaster as well as provide a valuable and experienced service in targeted activities of local, regional, divisional and national concern.

OPEN TIME DAYS

Disaster Reserve Corps members are required to attend at least 3 of 6 yearly events circled around an Exercise, Meeting or Training.

The length of deployment activation will depend upon the scale of a disaster and in no case will activation extend beyond the volunteer's availability.
