PLACEMENT PURPOSE
The Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) Client Casework Assistant for Indirect Services conducts the final actions after a SAF Client Casework Assistant for Direct Services has completed a client assessment following the completion of a Request for Service or delivery of an Emergency Communication Message. Indirect Services Caseworkers provide clients with the tools and support they need to overcome trying and emergent situations to support in building self-reliance and resiliency in active duty, reserve, veterans, retirees and their families and their families.

OPEN TIME DAYS
Commit to at least 5 hours per week during training period with set schedule, during regular business hours; Non-traditional hours and flexible schedule available upon completion of training and proven ability to work independantly.

Internships available for this position with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week for⦆8 months; set schedule during regular business hours. Individuals interning to fulfill school credit preferred, but not required. Upon completion of required internship, individuals are eligible to receive references/ recommendation letter(s) based on an honest evaluation of their performance.

REQUIRED TRAINING
  • Red Cross Orientation
  • Formal training will be provided
