Heart to Heart Hospice

  • 3 people are interested

There was an elderly, despondent woman in a nursing home. She wouldn't speak to anyone or request anything. She merely existed--rocking in her creaky old rocking chair. The old woman didn't have many visitors. But every couple mornings, a concerned young nurse would go into her room. She didn't try to speak or ask questions. She simply pulled up another rocking chair beside the old woman and rocked with her. Weeks later, the old woman finally spoke. "Thank you," she said, "for rocking with me." Be that someone who makes a difference in someone's life. The most precious gift you have to give is your time. Volunteer as little as one hour one time a week. Work around your busy schedules. Training and Orientation provided. No cost to you. Call or email today. You will be enriched. Call 810-422-9453 or email swagner@htohh.com
