STAR Reading at Northridge Elementary is a volunteer program. Volunteers come in twice per week to read with a child and work on comprehension and vocabulary. Training is provided. This program is very rewarding both for the students and the volunteer tutors!
Our program runs Tuesday through Friday from 9:15 am until 2:15 pm. Tutors generally spend one hour twice weekly tutoring.
This year our greatest need is between 10:45am and 12:15pm and from 12:45pm and 2:15pm.
