Will you help us protect these species and spread the word about sharing the beach?

Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge is recruiting passionate volunteers who want to make a positive impact on wildlife by educating the public in Westbrook, CT to share the beach with wildlife. All activities will take place during the summer months beginning in June 2018 and ending in August. Volunteers would be responsible for committing to at least one voluteer slot a month (2hrs on Saturdays only) and will be trained with other volunteers sometime in May. Volunteer activities will include talking with beach-goers about the wildlife species that live on the beach, engaging the public in birdwatching and conservation activities, and raising awareness of what the public can do to help wildlife. If you are interested in helping this summer (2018), please contact Kris Vagos so she can put you on a list of potential volunteers and alert you to training dates.
