Volunteers Needed to Provide Bereavement Support

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Silverado Hospice South Houston

  • 4 people are interested

Bereavement volunteers offer emotional support, companionship, assistance and other supportive services to families, significant others and/or caregivers who are to be left behind by their loved ones.

Bereavement volunteers do this by working with our Bereavement Coordinator in initiating and maintaining contact with the patient's loved ones, assisting in staying up to date with correspondences and showing a genuine concern for the family or caregiver.

Training for this unique and special opportunity is provided.

Volunteers can set their own times during our regular business hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. We are flexible. You can come one time a week, or as much as you would like.

Our goal is for you to have a wonderful experience volunteering and know that you are making a difference in people's lives.

For more information please contact Petria Ellis at pellis@silveradocare.com or 281-565-2900.
