JASC (Japanese American Service Committee) is seeking a volunteer to provide a warm welcome to visitors when they visit or call! This position will help with things like: answering the phone, greeting visitors, and light office work. This is the place for you to help out if you enjoy greeting people with a warm and friendly manner and like to give a great first impression.
Responsibilities include monitoring the entrance to the JASC office, alerting staff when they have visitors, helping people learn basic information about the organization, answering the phone, transfering calls, and other light office work. Interested? We can't wait to meet you!

Description
Founded on August 30, 1946, the Japanese American Service Committee of Chicago originally served the needs of the Issei and Nisei (Japanese immigrants and their American-born children) who left World War II internment camps to resettle in Chicago and start new lives. As the needs of the community have changed over the years, so, too, have the programs and services provided by the JASC.
