  • Excited about inspiring people to join the community at Do Space? Volunteers in this role need not be an expert at technology, but if you are enthusiastic about what Do Space is creating in the community then sign up to join us as an Advocate! Advocates might give a brief tour about the space, talk about the awesome software and hardware we have, or give an overview of all the fantastic programs we have going on.
  • Advocates will also assist with special events happening in our space.
  • Preferred minimum of four shifts per month for no less than six months.
  • Do you have expertise in a specific software or hardware? Would you like to teach someone else how to be a wiz at it as well? As a tech mentor you will meet one-on-one with them to share all your mad skills.
  • Preferred minimum commitment of six months and meetings will be scheduled by staff. Expect member meetings 1-2 times per month.
  • If you know some things about technology but want to learn more, this position is perfect for you! You will assist members with basic software and hardware questions. You can change people’s lives by helping them with everything from communicating with family out of town to introducing them to a software they have never heard of.
  • You will be at the help desk with a Community Technologist staff member so assistance will be available if there are any topics that you need help with. This position will also help with equipment circulation.
  • Preferred minimum of four shifts per month for no less than six months.
  • Are you experienced with 3D printers and are pumped there is advanced 3D technology available to the community of Omaha? Come on down and help us run this baby.
  • Since you love the 3D printer we want you to share the love with our members during tours and demos as well!

  • Calling all organized social butterflies! Do Space will have amazing groups in our space that can aide and improve the community with their technology skills. As an Explorer, you can help facilitate and inspire group members to build a better Omaha.
  • We will train you and set up all the tools to make your group is the best in the Midwest.
  • There will also be opportunities to be an Explorer with youth and children as well!
  • Minimum time commitment varies upon proposed program. It will be the expectation that you attend when your group meets.
