S.B.'s Love Closet, Inc. and Community Center exists to be a place of community for all people, and to teach employment-readiness skills to the disadvantaged that will empower them to become productive citizens.

In need of mentors to serve as tutors for grade school, middle school, and high school ages, as well as adults, in the areas of reading and math.

Mission Statement

S.B.'s Love Closet, Inc.'s mission is to assist the underserved community with reading, writing skills, and to provide training to the disadvantaged, (with a greater emphasis on women heads of households) in employment-readiness skills that will empower them to become self-sufficient and productive members of society.

Description

S.B.'s Love Closet partners with the Eastside Community Action Center to provide after school tutoring, which includes reading, writing, and math assistance. We also teach a variety of employment-readiness skills, such as how to fill out a job application, resume writing, effective communication skills, job interviewing techniques, and computer skills. We refer clients to the Eastside Community Action Center's community food and clothing banks when there is a need.
