Join us on 3rd Saturdays, 9am to noon, for a monthly habitat restoration day -- the Inspiration Point Walk-and-Weed Day at Alum Rock Park, San Jose. Hike up to Inspiration Point and learn about the plants along the way. At Inspiration Point, restore native habitat by removing invasive plants and planting native plants.

At the park's entrance kiosk, identify yourself as a weeding volunteer, and your entrance fee will be waived.

Drive to the farthest parking lot, and park at the first bridge (across from the Log Cabin). Walk across the bridge and past the Log Cabin. Meet at the Maintenance Bldg at 9 am for orientation & training. Together we will walk up to Inspiration Point, work there for ~2 hours, then walk back down to the parking lot.

Dress in layers, appropriately for the weather. Wear hiking boots and a cap or hat. Bring water, sunblock, sturdy weeding gloves, weeding tool (optional). Rain cancels.
