PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The Love n Me Program work with homeless youth, youth on probation, middle and high school girls,...........LNM is uniquely designed to address substance abuse, mental health issues, anger management, human trafficing, sex education, life skills, conflict resoluction, etc. We provide mentoring, support groups, counseling, tutoring, and other services.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Program Coordinator position includes a clinical caseload as well as coordination responsibilities. The clinical responsibilities include group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy and case management. Applicants need to be comfortable working as part of a multi-disciplinary team (which includes other service providers such as Rape Trauma Services, Art of Yoga, Probation, BHRS, etc) with clients with challenging issues, and working as part of a team at LNM. Ideally a clinician would have experience with group therapy and family therapy and of working with trauma.

The Program Coordinator is also responsible for coordinating the mental health treatment services for clients, which includes coordinating with other LMN Program clinical staff and with San Mateo county Behavioral Health and Recovery Services and Probation to provide ethically appropriate, theoretically sound, culturally informed, and holistic interventions to address client issues and enhance client strengths. This would include, for example, organizing the group therapy schedule, organizing the clinicians and interns schedules, and assisting the Program Director with various program related administrative tasks.

The LNM staff work closely together as a team. The coordinator would gain in depth experience of working with complex client cases in a very supportive environment. They will have the opportunity to develop group therapy skills and to work with adolescent clients mandated to treatment. In addition to the required 1 hour individual supervision each week, clinicians receive 2 hours each week of group supervision.
