There are quite a few ways to approach this position.
Traditionally, an Office Associate sends handwritten notes or Thank You cards to volunteers and donors, enters volunteer and donor information into a spreadsheet, and keeps our office supplied and organized.
In addition, an Office Associate could collect data on volunteer hours, donations, pounds of items we've kept from the landfill, funds our store has raised for Habitat, number of couches sold in a week, or the number of customers who came into our store in search of repurposing projects, etc. That data could then be used to create infographics, newsletters, and social media updates.
If you like taking photographs or have a knack for advertising, this would be a perfect opportunity for you as well. Each week, there are new items for sale and new displays to show off. If Pinterest is more your style, collecting repurposing projects and creating customer inspiration boards is a great way to make shoppers see our products in a new light!

Habitat ReStore's mission is to be a fundraiser for our local Habitat for Humanity. All proceeds help finance Habitat for Humanity home building and repair projects. Above all, Habitat ReStore seeks to spread the mission of Habitat for Humanity and share in the belief that everyone should have a decent place to live.
Description
Habitat ReStore accepts donations of overstocked, secondhand, gently used, discontinued, and salvageable building materials from manufacturers, stores, contractors, and individuals. Not only does this help divert reusable material from the landfill, but it provides customers with affordable home-improvement materials and furniture. Some donations are used directly in builds to help Habitat for Humanity build simple, decent, affordable housing for low-income families. All proceeds help finance Habitat for Humanity building and repair projects.
