Looking for licensed cosmetologists and estheticians in Oklahoma to facilitate Look Good Feel Better classes through The American Cancer Society. Look Good Feel Better is a non-medical, brand-neutral public service program that teaches beauty techniques to cancer patients to help them manage the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. You can learn more about LGFB by visiting lookgoodfeelbetter.org.
Volunteers will go through a 3-4 hour training course to learn how to facilitate a class. The LGFB sessions take place anywhere from once a month to a quarterly session per year depending on the location, and last no more than 2 hours. All sessions take place through local health care systems. We have sessions in the following cities: Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Norman, Ada, Shawnee, Ardmore, Enid, Lawton, Altus, Duncan, Bartlesville, Muskogee, and McAlester.
We have a training coming up on February 1st, so if you are interested, please contact Aly Mays Simon at aly.simon@cancer.org or 405.841.5825, as soon as possible!
