Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. MDA’s mission is to save and improve the lives of people fighting muscle disease and we won’t rest until there is a cure. This is why YOUR help matters! The Muscular Dystrophy Association works tirelessly in its efforts to raise funds to support our mission.

It is an exciting time for us at MDA, as we are getting into our busiest season. We are in need of volunteers to help us out with various tasks. Please let me know if you are able to devote any time to come into the office and help us out. Any amount of time is greatly appreciated.

Community Calendars - we need help posting our upcoming events on the community calendars throughout Central Florida. We will provide you all the information and links to the different websites so it’s just a matter of copy and pasting the events onto the different calendars.

Handwritten Cards - we are looking for help handwriting cards. We like to send personal handwritten cards to our friends and sponsors so if you have good handwriting, this is the perfect task for you!

Online Submissions - We need help with online submissions for various things. This will also be computer work. You will have all the information needed to copy and paste.

School Calls & Database updates - We are looking for help from people who are not afraid to be on the phone. The calls are simple, we will be calling schools in the counties that we serve to obtain contact information for different school campaigns. This information will then be entered into an excel spreadsheet.

Shamrock Help- First quarter is extremely busy for us here at MDA as we partner with many different businesses that sell mobils for us. During this time, we need help with shipping out incentives and supplies, folding t-shirts and making and assembling kits.

Community hours can be given for any time that you can devote to MDA. Please let me know how you would like to help

Please let me know if you are able to come in to our Lake Mary office at any time, starting today. We welcome and appreciate the help! We will be happy to provide any paperwork for community hours that you may need. Office hours are Monday - Friday 9am-5pm but any help is appreciated. You can come help for as little or as long as you desire. We appreciate your willingness to help our families. We are a very laid back but mission driven office. I hope to hear from you soon.
