Do you have the ability to stay calm under pressure? Do you have genuine concern for others and a desire to be of help? If so, please consider sharing your beautiful smile and warm personality with us at Northside Hospital's Emergency Department.
Our ER reception volunteers help patients register at our touch-panel kiosk, issue visitor ID badges, provide directions and information, answer and place telephone calls to ER triage and other areas, ensuring visitors are kept informed about the well-being of their loved one in our ER.
In just four hours a week, you can help us maintain an environment where visitors feel welcome and valued. Customer service skills a must. Volunteers receive full training, and once placed, receive a free meal for each shift they serve and a free flu shot.

Serving the community since 1976, Northside Hospital is a 288-bed facility, offering a full range of services, including but not limited to:
- Interventional stroke and neurologic care
- Full-service orthopedic and spine treatment
- A 24-hour emergency room
- Preventative and corrective cardiac care
- General surgery
As the first Comprehensive Stroke Center in St. Petersburg, our technologically advanced facility allows our superior physicians and nursing staff to care for our growing community. With campus-based specialized units, such as the Tampa Bay Heart Institute, and the Neuroscience Institute for Interventional Neuroradiology and neurologic care, Northside Hospital continues to enhance and expand its services to better serve the St. Petersburg community.
