SafeHouse of Shelby County is an agency that serves victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Shelby, Coosa, and Clay counties. One of our primary services is our Emergency Shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence situations. Our clients face many barriers while trying to establish independent, violence-free lives. Two of the main barriers they face is a lack of access to transportation and childcare. SafeHouse is currently seeking volunteers to assist in these areas based on the volunteers’ availability and interests.
