At ViaQuest Hospice, we are building a team of compassionate people who would be willing to volunteer their skills for the benefit of our patients and their families. Volunteers provide a smiling face, a hand to hold, and a sharing of love and compassion. You can give of your time and talents including reading, taking walks, writing letters, respite for family, companionship, shopping, household chores, providing pet care and much more! No special skills or education are required, only a generosity of heart and the following: Submitting an application, including references; Successfully passing background checks (cost covered by ViaQuest); Completing a tuberculosis screening (cost covered by ViaQuest); Completing an orientation session, scheduled at your convenience; Completing an on-site training, scheduled at your convenience, where you will meet a patient(s) based on your interests, goals and availability. Opportunities in Canonsburg, Washington and the South Hills area in personal residences or care facilities.
