Give 2 hours of time, to help feed over 375 students that rely solely on the free breakfast and lunches at school by putting DELIVERING hunger packs for the weekend.
The Backpack Brigade procures, packages, and delivers food to nine Seattle public schools to ensure the students have a reliable source of nutritious food over the weekend and on school breaks.
We start at 11am on Friday, need 3 long term volunteers, who come in to the Central Seattle Area Food Bank, inventory and pick up bags and deliver to local schools for students to take home on Friday to have a bit of food to keep them full until they are back to school on Monday. It takes only about 2 hours. Must have a car that can fit multiple banana style boxes. 3 drivers needed, long term. This is a REALLY IMPORTANT part of the process, so we need SUPER RELIABLE volunteers!
