Be a scientist for a day at our annual Invasive Species Survey! Groups of volunteers will go throughout our 100-acre natural area looking for three different invasive plant species and collecting data. No experience necessary! Columbia Springs offers our community a unique setting where educational experiences foster greater awareness of the natural world and inspire stewardship. Columbia Springs is located on a 100-acre urban natural area that includes the historic Vancouver trout hatchery. Programming at Columbia Springs includes K-12 field trips and in-class teaching, adult sustainable living classes, volunteer and service learning opportunities, environmental restoration, fish rearing, and special community events.
