Wheels4Hope is a faith-based car donation program. We recycle cars and change lives. Our mission is to provide affordable, reliable transportation to low-wage earners in our community.

Description

Wheel4Hope is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation that solicits donated cars and repairs them for individuals and families referred by local partner agencies (including Habitat for Humanity, Interact, Red Cross, Raleigh Rescue Mission, StepUP Ministry and others).

The work of Wheels4Hope is done by VOLUNTEERS who repair donated cars at our garage. Automobile enthusiasts, hobbyists, mechanics and office helpers are needed and welcome!

REQUIREMENTS

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • One day a week (weekdays only) or third Saturday of every month. Typically 9:00am-3:00pm
  • Must have basic knowledge of auto mechanics. We are not a training facility. New volunteers are typically mentored by veteran volunteers until skill level is assessed by our Shop Foreman.
