Champaign County Nursing Home is seeking both individuals and groups that would enjoy volunteering during our residents' meal times; these include breakfast, lunch and dinner. Volunteers needed to provide companionship and assistance to residents in need, as well as assistance in handing out trays to residents so they receive them in a timely manner. Help is desperately needed for the weekends!

Mission Statement
Champaign County Nursing Home has been caring for our community's elders since 1953. We are owned by the county and governed by elected members of the county board. We have 243 beds and we are licensed to provide skilled and intermediate care, with a separate neighborhood for cognitively impaired individuals. It is our responsibility to provide the highest quality, comprehensive care possible to our residents through knowledge and application of sound principles using team concept and approach.

All volunteers are required to sign a confidentiality form, go through an interview process, have a tour of our facility and get training on dealing with elders in a nursing home.
