Soup kitchen receives food order from the Greater Boston Food Bank once a month on the fourth Wednesday of the month. Van leaves OHM at 10:30am. Van returns to OHM approximately 1pm and unloading usually ends before 2pm.
Participation can be for:
Driving a Uhaul truck to Boston
Accompany the driver to Boston
Load food order from GBFB loading dock into the van
Unload food order at Open Hearts Ministries kitchen
Put away food in the pantry and walk-in freezer.
Great opportunity for kids and parents to work together, putting food away.
